Annual Gender Sensitization Action Plan
At Vishwa Chethana Degree College, we are dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusiveness, equality, and justice. These values are integral to our vision of providing a platform for nurturing talent and inculcating human values. We are committed to create a gender-equal world and empowering women, making gender sensitization a central focus of our efforts.
Our college has a strong policy of zero tolerance towards any form of gender discrimination. We are focused on bringing about a positive change that supports equity among genders. Our commitment to providing a safe and secure campus, offering equal opportunities in education and employment, is supported by a variety of activities that promote gender sensitization. We have a dedicated committee that ensures the implementation of our Gender Sensitization Action Plan.
Our Annual Gender Sensitization Action Plan includes the following initiatives:
1. Awareness Workshops: We will organize workshops, seminars, debates, and quizzes to raise awareness among faculty members, staff, and students on issues like health, education, and gender equality.
2. Committee Meetings: We will conduct regular meetings of the Anti-Ragging, Women, and Student Grievances Redressal Committees for monitoring and evaluating gender equality initiatives.
3. Mentorship Programme: We will organize a mentorship programme where students are assigned mentors whom they can approach for guidance and support.
4. Orientation Programme: During the orientation programme for new students, we will familiarize them with campus life and values, including the importance of gender equality.
5. Equal Representation: We will encourage faculty members to promote equal representation and facilitate equal participation in projects, co-curricular activities, and sports.
Through these initiatives, we aim to create a campus environment that is inclusive, supportive, and respectful of all genders. We believe that by promoting gender sensitization, we can contribute to creating a more equitable society for all.
